Billing Agreement

LongerDays.com, LLC offers a one week free trial to new clients like you so that you can be sure we do good, quality work before having to pay for your first month of service. We ask that you enter this working relationship with the intent of continuing past the free trial and working with us on a long-term basis. If this is not the case, if you are only curious about virtual assistance and have no intention of ever paying us, please do not sign up for the free trial. It hurts our company and our other clients (we don't like to have our time and money wasted any more than you do). We suggest instead that you ask questions of our customer service representatives and create a plan for how you will use us and then, when you are sure that you want to work with us, sign up for the free trial.

We need to collect your credit card information in order to commence service. However, you will not be billed for your monthly plan until eight days from the date you signed up.

During the one week free trial, you are allotted time equal to one quarter of the plan that you sign up for. For example, if you signed up for Plan 40, you would have ten hours to use during your free trial. When your free trial is over, your hours are refreshed to the full amount of your plan and any time used from then on will be taken from your monthly plan.

To cancel your free trial, send an email to support@longerdays.com or call us at 1 (800) 507-1622. If you cancel your service during your free trial, you will never be billed. If you do not cancel before seven days from the date that you signed up for the free trial, you will be billed for your first month of service eight days from the date of your sign up.

We work on a pay-in-advance, subscription model. You will be billed every 30 days from the date of your first billing until you cancel our service. Every month, until you cancel, your card will be billed and the hours in your plan will be refreshed.

It is your responsibility to assign enough work to us that we can use up the hours you have paid for each month. We cannot issue refunds for unused time because, regardless of whether you failed to send us work, we still paid our employees to be here ready for that work. We create schedules based on how many hours have been purchased by clients (this is why we have the monthly plans). This is what allows us to budget our time and do a good job. If you did send us plenty of work and we failed to use your time, we can issue you a refund for that or roll that time over onto next month. It is always a good idea to assign plenty of work - this way you get a lot done and you'll always get your money's worth!

If you use up the hours in your monthly plan, the person you are working with will notify you and present you with three options: 1.) Wait until your plan refreshes on the next billing cycle (your work is put on hold), 2.) Move up to a larger monthly plan, 3.) Continue working at the rate of $30/hour. Generally it makes sense to move up to a larger plan than to work at the rate of $30/hour but it depends on how much work is left to complete pending projects - if it's only an hour or two, you may just want us to work at the higher hourly rate.

If at any time you are dissatisfied with the services we have provided to you, you can request a refund for unused time on your current month. You will not receive a refund for material charges or for every month you were billed for our service. In other words, if you signed up in December 2008 and became dissatisfied in September 2009, you would get a refund for the month of September, not a refund for the months of December through September.

You will never receive a bill for material charges that you were not made aware of, and agreed to, in advance. After you have approved material charges, you must pay the bill within 14 days of receipt.

During the time that you are a client of LongerDays.com, any information provided, recommendations made, services rendered, and/or purchases made would be deemed as having been made on your behalf. You and you alone are responsible for all such transactions and services. Discontinuation or cancellation of our service does not absolve you of this responsibility.
